A Year in a Field
7:45pm | Free Entry

Richard Morris’s film is a contemplative vigil of a standing stone in a Cornish field as it weathers a year of climate change and the human condition. With no interviews, no humans, no overblown carbon-generating production, A Year in a Field encourages us to take a breath and reflect on the planetary impacts of our brief human existence.

Friday February 9th

The Eight Mountains
School III, St Salvator's Quad
7pm | Free Entry

Based on the novel of the same name by Paolo Cognetti, The Eight Mountains is a reflective drama piece that chronicles the ever-growing relationship between two men, formerly childhood friends, who reconnect in the Italian Alps. Light-hearted yet intimate, this film has stunning landscapes and a story that is truly beautiful to watch.

Saturday February 10th

Byre Theater
7:30pm | £6 (pay what you can)

Directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, this 2022 Polish-Italian drama film follows the life of a former circus donkey. Alternately endearing and heart-rending, EO truly tugs at your heartstrings with its offbeat narrative, furthered by dramatic cinematography and sound design. The movie is followed by a 20 minute Q&A with guest speaker Dr. Robin Mackenzie.
